1st Day of School Update

 Hi everyone,

 

Well, we planned as best we could, but the church's basement renovation is moving slower than anticipated, so we have to make a few changes for tomorrow morning:

1. Nursery drop off and pickup will be in the sanctuary

2. UE/MS Science is still in the main floor hall, but ALL OTHER CLASSES WILL BE OUTSIDE. It should be shaded, but could be hot, so have the kids dress appropriately and don't forget to pack some water in their backpacks!

3. Please stay by your car after you park so Heather can do the temp checks and squirt some hand sanitizer. The threshold for temp checks is 100.4 degrees per these guidelines: https://dese.mo.gov/sites/default/files/COVID-MO-K12-Reopening-Guidance.pdf

4. The kids will ALL be using the main floor bathrooms (no basement or parsonage bathrooms). The only changes to that are: UE will use the bathroom at the same time as the MS, at 10:30 (Erik is assistant)

5. LE will start recess right after their first class, and play until about 10:45. Then use the bathrooms and have their snack. (Joy is assistant)

 

In general, the outside area is going to be more crowded than we hoped, so please steer your cohort away from other cohorts. 

A few other things:

1. MS/UE - don't forget color pencils; also, if you have a clipboard or a large book, please bring it to use as a hard surface to draw/write on

2. We're asking for some donations - specifically, toy food/utensils, a plastic bat, some dress up clothes, and QUALITY nursery books (we tossed a bunch of crap already); but please don't bring donations tomorrow ... wait until next week

3. We're planning a cleaning/work day for NEXT Tuesday (9/1) at the church. More details to follow. This would also be a good day to bring donations
